The dive

A Dive Into aDreamscape

Where reality blurs between fresh water, sulfur clouds, and salt water.

Cenote Angelita (Little Angel) is the most surreal dive site in the Mayan Riviera. Unlike the decorated caves of Dos Ojos, Angelita is a massive, cylindrical sinkhole that drops straight down to 60 meters (200ft). The magic happens at 30 meters (100ft), where a thick layer of hydrogen sulfide creates a false 'river' flowing underwater. Dead trees and branches poke out from this misty cloud, creating a spooky, island-like landscape. Descending through the cloud into the pitch-black saltwater below and looking up at the glowing green fog is an experience that feels more like science fiction than scuba diving.

  • Perfect Timing

We aim to arrive when the sun is high to see the light beams piercing the gloom, or early enough to have the "river" to ourselves.

  • Safety First

Angelita is a deep dive with potential narration effects. Our guides are experienced technical divers who monitor depth, time, and gas consumption strictly to ensure a safe profile.

  • The Perfect Combo

Since Angelita is a deep dive with limited bottom time, we pair it with a shallower, crystal-clear cenote (like Car Wash or Casa Cenote ) for the second tank to maximize your day.
