The trip
Dive alongside giant Pacific manta rays, playful dolphins, humpback whales, and up to ten species of sharks in the open ocean.
Located 450 miles off the coast of Mexico, the Revillagigedo Archipelago (Socorro, San Benedicto, Roca Partida, and Clarion) is a UNESCO World Heritage site and a true sanctuary for big animal encounters.
When you book your scuba diving Socorro islands trip with us, you are guaranteed an exclusive experience aboard the Nautilus Explorer.
Recently expanded in 2018 to 42 meters, the Nautilus Explorer features ISM safety certification, stabilizers for a smooth ride, a fresh-water hot tub, and a fully stocked bar.
The winter months (November to April) bring an abundance of pelagic life. Expect to dive with Hammerheads, Silvertips, Galapagos sharks, Tiger sharks, and even Whale sharks.
Hosted by Álvaro González Vázquez, our expeditions prioritize safety, camaraderie, and respect for the marine ecosystem.
Open ocean, big animals and 450 miles of Pacific between you and the mainland.

The mantas of Revillagigedo are famous for approaching divers and bathing in their bubbles. Some measure over 20 feet across.

Hammerheads, Silvertips, Galapagos sharks, Tiger sharks, and even Whale sharks patrol these seamounts through the winter months.

Playful dolphins and humpback whales share these waters in January. You often hear the whales long before you see them.
Our home for nine days is a 42-metre liveaboard, first launched in 2000 and expanded in 2018. It carries thirteen staterooms and suites with private bathrooms, a crew of ten, and stabilizers that make the open-ocean crossing far easier on everyone.
