The beauty of our region is that the underwater world is excellent year-round! However, water temperatures and marine life change slightly:
Alternative Options: Our famous Mayan Cenotes dives have a constant temperature of 75°F (24°C) and crystal-clear visibility 365 days a year, making them a perfect option regardless of the season.
May to September: The water is at its warmest (around 82°F / 28°C), and the ocean is generally calm. This is also the magical season to spot Whale Sharks.
November to March: Water temperatures drop slightly (around 78°F / 26°C), bringing excellent visibility. This is the prime season for Bull Shark encounters and spotting Eagle Rays.
Your safety and enjoyment are our top priorities. Going underwater in the rain is perfectly fine—you’re going to get wet anyway! However, if the Port Authority closes the ocean due to strong winds or high waves, we rely on our Total Flexibility policy. We can reschedule your ocean excursion for a better day, seamlessly pivot your trip to the sheltered, crystal-clear sinkholes (which are unaffected by ocean weather), or offer a refund according to our booking policies.
Not at all! While many experienced explorers love bringing their own mask, regulator, or computer, we offer full, high-quality rental gear. Our equipment is meticulously maintained, regularly serviced, and thoroughly disinfected after every use. Just let us know your sizes when you book! (Note: If you are joining one of our international dive expeditions, we can even lend you gear from Cancun to travel with at no extra cost).

It depends on the adventure you choose! If you have never worn a tank before, you don’t need any prior experience. Our introductory programs for beginners are designed exactly for you to learn the basics before heading out to the shallow reefs. However, certain advanced excursions, sinkholes, and international trips do require specific experience levels. The great news is that we are a fully equipped training center and offer all levels of scuba certification courses.
