The dive
Witness the winter migration of the female Bull Sharks in their natural habitat.
Every winter (November to February), the shallow sandy bottoms off the coast of Playa del Carmen become the stage for one of the world's most thrilling diving spectacles. Dozens of pregnant female Bull Sharks return to these waters, allowing divers to observe them up close— no cages, no barriers . This is not just a dive; it is a lesson in respect. You will descend to 24 meters (80ft), kneel on the white sand, and watch as these powerful, majestic creatures circle around you. It is a controlled, safe, and awe-inspiring interaction that changes the way you see sharks forever.
Seasonal dive
Season: Strictly November to February/March .
The shark dive is short due to depth and adrenaline. We always pair it with a second, relaxing reef dive to decompress and lower the heart rate after the excitement.
Diving with Bull Sharks is serious business. We use specific "Shark Safe" protocols, including group positioning, negative entry procedures, and body language management.
We limit the group size strictly. This ensures the sharks are not overwhelmed and allows our guides to maintain perfect control of the situation.
From fear to admiration in 40 minutes

The moment you see the first silhouette approaching through the blue, your heart will race. It is a primal feeling of being in the presence of an apex predator.

You will realize sharks are not mindless man-eaters, but calculating, intelligent, and beautiful animals.

Completing a cage-free Bull Shark dive places you in an elite group of divers. It’s a story you will tell for the rest of your life.
